Nirakar Sahoo, Ph. D.

Assistant Professor

Nirakar received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Physiology from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, in the laboratory of Prof. Stefan H Heinemann in 2011. Following his Ph.D., he moved to Ann Arbor for his postdoctoral work at the Dr. Haoxing Xu Lab in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, University of Michigan, studying cell physiology. Since September 2018, he is a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
